As a graduate assistant for Clemson University, Branden worked closely with the Joseph F. Sullivan Center in many of their projects to provide medical services to underserved and vulnerable populations such as the South Carolina Migrant Health Program, Best Chance Network, Clemson Free Clinic and the Walhalla Mobile Clinic. Branden also helped the center with establishing the Travel Immunization Clinic.

After Branden graduated from Clemson in 2013, he continued to serve the Upstate by joining Oconee Pediatrics. During his time at Oconee Pediatrics, he has created a Weight Management Program to help fight childhood obesity. He participates in community outreach programs to help raise awareness of many childhood diseases, as well as assists with education and training in-services at the local schools. Branden continues to serve in his local communities and takes pride in his work caring for children.

In addition to working at Oconee Pediatrics Branden also acts as Adjunct Faculty for Anderson University with their FNP graduate program and precepts many future healthcare providers.

Branden was awarded the South Carolina Rural Health Provider of the Year by the South Carolina Rural Health Association for his dedication to the care of children in our rural communities.

Branden is married to Emily Boatwright, who teaches science at Wren High School. They have a little boy, Ian, and a little girl, Natalie. He also raises his younger brother Noah, who has been with them since summer 2021. They currently reside in Pendleton, South Carolina with their 2 dogs Nora (Rottweiler) and Clyde (Beagle). They enjoy being outdoors, traveling, and being amateur foodies.
